DATES!!!!!

This is probably going to seem really boring to all of you... I just want to remember it. No pressure to read the whole thing.

Howdy folks. Sorry it's been a while since I last blogged, things have been super duper crazy around here lately. I just started packing stuff recently, and it seems like I haven't been home very much as of late. Mostly due to the fact that I've gone on 2 dates in the past week! Plus it was Spencer Giddens bday on the 23, and I was at his house pretty much all day playing basketball and riding scooters and playing on the Wii with a bunch of our church friends.
My date. Dates actually. One official and one... not so official. With Colin Henderson. First, a few friends of his went over to his house to party it up, and while we were both hiding in the woods during a rousing game of Sheep and Wolf (yes i know, my friends are awesome :D) he asked me to double with him. I said yes of course, because I've kinda had a slight crush on this boy since I was like 10 years old. We went to Crackerbarrel with 2 of our friends and then watched a movie. It was pretty fun, but the people we doubled with were kind of lame- one didn't eat anything at the restaurant and the other was pretty much asleep the whole time. The car ride home was the best part because they weren't there and Colin is one of the funniest people I've ever met. :)
Date number 2: Not really an official date, but definitely more fun than the first. Colin invited me to his house to go shootin'. It was so much fun!!! We shot 3 different kinds of guns. I don't remember what any of them were called, though. We played that game where someone throws the little skeet things and we had to shoot them. I ACTUALLY SHOT ONE!!! It was pretty far away, and I just pulled the trigger and hoped for the best. (Pretty much what I did every time.) That sucker shattered into a billion pieces. After that me and Colin walked around on the property with the smallest gun looking for squirrels, but we couldn't find any because the best time to find squirrels is in the morning. Then he had a brilliant idea: to go mountain biking all over his dirt bike trails. It sounded fun and pretty easy so I said ok. WORST IDEA EVER. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't fallen off my bike so much. I completely wiped out, as in, was laying on my side on the ground, a total of 5 times. It was so embarrassing, because he kind of tripped like maybe once. The most embarrassing fall was when I drove into an invisible hole, fell sideways off my bike, and hit the bottom of my left ribs on a REALLY hard stump, or root. It knocked the wind right out of me, and when he came to ask me if I was okay, all I could do was make that weird robot groaning sound that you make when you lose your wind. And he was trying really hard not to laugh. He succeded for the most part.
After that, we went inside and decided to go play Frisbee Golf at Fort Yargo. He won by one point. We were both pretty bad, but it was super fun, and we only broke one frisbee. :)
THEN we went back to his house and he taught me how to play Halo. That is a fun game, and it really wasn't that hard either.
And that's all. Now that I think about it, I can't believe Colin still likes me after all that making a fool of myself. Today he invited me to come play paintball with his family, but I couldn't go because I was packing. :/ BUT HE JUST CALLED AND ASKED IF I WANTED TO COME AND PLAY GAMES AT HIS HOUSE!!! Seriously, like 5 minutes ago. :D I like that kid.

Sorry this ended up being so long...

Creeper!!!

Today, some man named Charles Charlow or something like that has called me 4 times. I do not know this man, at ALL. I've never heard his name before in my life. He's definitely southern, which makes me think he probably met me at Ingles. I have no idea how he got my number. Each time he's called he's given me his number and said, "If you get this message call me back please. I was just checkin to see how you's doin. See ya later, bye."
ITS REEEALLY FREAKIN ME OUT!
Me and mom decieded that next time we would just let dad answer and yell at the creepo. sickening.
The only guy I can think of who it maybe might possibly be is one creepy old man who followed me around ingles on one of my breaks and eventually asked me if I had a boyfriend. He used to come through my line every time he came to Ingles and he would wave at me and smile and all that. He was like 60 years old at least, with a bald head and a mustache. But I was kind of rude to him everytime he came through my line so I haven't seen him in months. He's the only extreme creep I've ever met though... I just don't know. Hopefully it's just some dope out there pulling a prank and I really don't have a legit stalker...

Best friends ever and the game

I just want to say that I have some of the best friends in the WORLD. Ever. 2 Fridays ago Jori Bowen, Heather Skelton, Madi Nash and I all got together and pigged out at Zaxby's before we went to the high school football game. We lost (surprise) 42-7 or something, but that was one of the most fun games I have ever been to in my ENTIRE life. (Maybe because I wasn't being a drum major or something...) We all were MOBBED by the marching band (Jori, Madi, and Heather by the bottom half in the stands [woodwinds] and me by the top half [brass]) because everyone said they missed us and all that. It was GREAT!!!!! Nice to know we've been missed. :) Also at the game were old friends Billy Hentenaar and Bug. And the Giddens/Perrys were there too. We all sat together and partied it up!
After the game, I gave Matt Schramm (one of my favorite people ever) a new mute. Story:
My sophmore year when I went to all state, I forgot to bring a straight mute. I was able to borrow one from a little 8th grader that I didn't know at all named Matt Schramm, because he had two for some reason. And then I lost it. As the YEARS went on, we became great friends and we always talked about how he was going to get the most awesome mute ever. And then I did. Windy City Copper Bottom. It's beautiful. And I wrote, "Is that Matt Schramm or Maynard Ferguson?" on the bottom. :) We used to say that to each other all the time.
Also, we watched the halftime show which was superb. Actually we only got to see the 3rd tune because it was homecoming :/ but it was reeeeeeeally good. (The next day was festival; they got STRAIGHT SUPERIORS on everything!)
Overall, a great night. :D

I Ran a Mile

At Gainesville, I'm taking a class called Personal Health and Wellness. Every
Wednesday, we exercise together. We can do anything from an 8 minute abs video from the 1980s, to running around the track, to stretching, you get the picture. Well, yesterday we went to the gym. We had to do 20 minutes of cardio, and then do stuff on at least 5 of the machines. I ran/walked on a treadmill for 20 minutes. During that time, I ran an entire mile. In 8.5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt very accomplished. I was really sweaty but I wasn't even that embarrassed, because I ran a mile in 8 1/2 minutes. Oh yeah.

    Fighting goose

So a lot of you have been asking what the heck a fighting goose is. It's gainesville's mascot. And it started off as a joke like 10 years ago or something because there were a lot of geese on campus. And now it's official. I'm pretty sure there's not a species of goose that is called "fighting goose", we just put fighting in front of it to sound menacing. Although, all it does is make us sound like a bunch of dweebs.

There it is. Yeah, that goose has muscles. And a backpack...

    Hi.

Last night I was at work for a long long looooooong time. I got off a little after 11:30. i.was.pooped. To say the least. Plus, the dawgs lost so I was already feeling slightly depressed. :(
This morning was stake conference. Which meant we had to wake up atl ike 2 in the morning, so we could get there 3 hours early and somehow still end up in the back with me on a hard chair. (true story. except the 3 hours part... but we were extremely early.)
SOOOOOO the point of this whole story is: I felt like this this morning:

yup. I felt like this blobfish.

    BYU IDAHO

    OHMYGOODNESSBAAAAAAAAAHOHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Story:
One day a girl named Brianna Elise Mingledorff applied to both BYU and BYUI. She finally finished the application on september 9, at about 4:30 pm. Hooray! Carefully she read through the page with the normal acceptance dates; BYUI would accept her within 6 weeks of recieving her application,. BYU would let her know sometime around the end of October. She watched a movie with her parents to celebrate and then went to sleep.
The next morning, she woke up and checked her email. She saw an email from BYUI admissions. She quickly opened it, only to see the following words...

    Dear Brianna:

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to Brigham Young University-Idaho. Rich blessings and life-changing opportunities await you here.

Below are the next steps in your Admission process:

    *steps*..............

    I am sooooooooooo stoked.
Like I said, I won't hear from BYU until around the end of October, but until then... that's pretty darn exciting! I won't have to be a fighting goose for another semester!!!!!!!!!

    love you guys.

    THE FIRST POST

I have a blog because I am in college and I want to be able to document all of my many adventures publicly, so certain sisters don't complain about not knowing anything that goes on in my life. ;)
I am currently attending Gainesville State College. Yep, that's right, I'm a Fighting Goose. hooray (NOT). BUT I did apply to go to BYU starting January, so hopefully I'll be able to shed my goose feathers and be a cougar instead. Gainesville does NOT have a marching band, but there is a Symphonic Band that I am part of. Third chair trumpet. Woot!
Ummmmmm as of yet I have not taken ANY pics at all of the glorious Gainesville campus, but that will have to change because I want to post them on here so I'll have them forever. Plus all of you guys will be able to see them too.
I still work at Ingles. I've been putting in more hours there because I only have school Mon and Wed.
Also, I decided just a few minutes ago that I'm going to start running and maybe eventually do a 5K. It's gonna be great now that I actually have something to do!!! :)
Welp, (as Megan would say) that's about it this time around... I'll be sure to post pics soon!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, PS- I definitely took that pic at the top. It's in Savannah. That's all. :D
